OUR NAME

CHIARA BADANO

Inspired by the life of Blessed Chiara "Luce" Badano, Nicole named the business after her.

"Luce" means light in Italian. Chiara illuminated the world during her short life on earth. In her heroic fight of bone cancer, she remained joyful and always had a smile on her face.

During her battle with cancer, Chiara wanted to receive a “new” name for this painful part of life. Chiara Lubich wrote her, “Light: It is the light of God that conquers the world.” "Light," (or "Luce," in Italian) was her new name.

With Chiara, LUCE wants to enlighten the world through beauty, truth, and goodness.
